Third Grade Monsters!!

Mrs. Blount and Mrs. Wey's third grade class designed monsters with pencil, marker and paper.  They were then given to Mrs. Cooke's KHS sculpture class.  The Kings High School Sculpture class built the monsters and out paper mache and then donated to the SLE students.  What a collaboration!  

Who is your Hero?

Third grade students drew pictures of their heroes.  They filled in different values of grey, white and black with using their finger prints.  This style of art was modeled after American artist, Chuck Close.

Landscape Artist Study

Students studied three artist and emulated famous artists in their artwork including: Monet, Marc, VanGogh and Seurat.

Chuck Close

Students will learn about this American artist, Chuck Close and his style of painting to create their animal painting.

This student is starting with the cool colors in the background.
