All Student Art Show May 3

Save the Date for an ALL Student Art Show May 3 at SLE.

Each student at SLE will have one framed piece in the show.  It is free to attend the show.  Please come and check out around 500 artworks.

Your student's frame is available for purchase at the show.

Your son or daughter will bring home their personalized order form this week. You may go the website on the back of the order form and type in the green code to see your student's artwork and order.  Or send the form and a check back into school. Fourth grade linoleum prints

Students created a realistic drawing of a bird. They carved there linoleum block. Next step was to print. They studied about printmaking to create their artwork. 

Third grade monochromatic paintings

Students studied about shades and tends to create their mono chromatic paint. Here is the work in progress. 

Second grade fire and ice weaving

Student created their artwork by studying the warm and cool colors. 

First grade Charley Harper

Students were inspired by the local artist, Charley Harper. Students will still paint the leaves and create a cardinal.  

Kindergarten realism

 Students will paint the background based on the time of day.

March Madness Night at SLE
March 3, 5:30-8 pm (Sample art show)
There will be a sampling of SLE artwork that has been completed through out the year.  This will show students and parents can see what the students have been working on in art class.

Mark your calendars for May 3.  On May 3rd we will have a school wide ALL Student art show. Each SLE student will have one piece displayed.
