Color wheel tree
Students studied about the primary and secondary colors that make the color wheel. They used repetition to repeat their design all over the space in the background and we will use water color to fill in the white spaces.
Op art leaves
Students are creating an op art piece of art by hiding the leaves in a design. This type of art movement was started in the 1960s. They are going to be using a checkerboard pattern to color their image.
Abstract art names
Students created their abstract inspired art from the letters in their name. Their work was inspired by the Abstract movement in the early 1900s. (Kandinsky)
Line landscape
Students studied about the important element of art called line to create their landscapes. They used line variety to complete their project. (thin, thick and medium lines)

2016-2017 School year
Dear Parents and students,
Welcome Back to School!
I am excited for another awesome year! The first week we are learning about the classroom and expectations. The students also get to create a sculpture of something that they did over the summer.
Next week, we will start our first project!
