Students created an organic or geometric shaped design. Nonobjective art has no realism or no real objects in the artwork, but just lines, shapes, colors, patterns.
Students were inspired by the art of Kandinsky to make thier nonobjective art. They were only given the three primary colors of red, yellow and blue to work with. The students had to create the secondary color to finish thier piece.
Students carefully drew a flower with contour lines. Next, they colored each petal to follow the color pattern of the color wheel. Lastly, they painted a design in the background. Students learned primary colors and secondary colors in this exercise.
